How Rojbit prevents money laundering and terrorist financing, and what that means for you.

1. During the demo

Deposits and withdrawals are not enabled, so no money moves through Rojbit. Residents of sanctioned countries and sanctioned persons are not accepted (see the Terms of use).

2. Identity verification

Before deposits and withdrawals open, every account will be verified with a government ID and a liveness selfie through our verification partner. Higher limits may also need proof of address.

3. Screening

From then on, users and transactions will be screened against sanctions and politically exposed persons (PEP) lists, at onboarding and continuously.

4. Transaction monitoring

Unusual activity can place deposits or withdrawals under review, and we may ask about the source of funds.

5. Travel rule

For transfers above the thresholds set by law, we will collect and share the sender and beneficiary information the law requires.

6. Reporting

Suspicious activity will be reported to the competent authorities as the law requires. The law may forbid us to tell you when a report is made.

7. Record keeping

Verification and transaction records will be kept for at least five years after an account is closed, or longer where the law requires.
